Maria Kazmierow is a well established specialist family barrister and mediator, based in the heart of Auckland City with nearly a decade’s experience in family law. Her clientele extends beyond Auckland and New Zealand.

Maria’s private practice covers all aspects of the Family Courts jurisdiction, with a focus on complex cases. This includes relationship property, trust and incapacity issues, as well as child related and domestic violence matters.

She provides legal and strategic advice and negotiates resolution where possible. Negotiation may not always succeed. As an experienced mediator outside of Court, and litigator in Court, Maria offers a service with layers of alternative ways to resolve disputes.

Maria frequently presents seminars to the legal and associated professions, and writes a regular national column for NZ Lawyer magazine on Family Law issues. Maria also undertakes opinion work for complex or novel legal issues.
